Hope For Spring

I've been struggling to be excited for each day.  I went into this school year knowing it would be a long marathon type of year and I was right.  I'm finishing my very last year of graduate school BUT my last year consists of a full school year internship (the kind where I work full-time for free).  The end is finally in site but I feel like these daffodils, wanting to rush it anyway.

So where is the hope?
Knowing that this won't last forever.
It has been forever since I've ever been out of school but I know my school days are numbered.
Just as the winter will soon turn to spring (right after this huge storm we are being hit with tonight. HA!), I know that my spring is coming with new things.

"There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens."

On another note, I found this man's story here and here.  So incredible.
and I'm in love with his dog!

More hope here.

Happy LEAP DAY!

DIY: Library Card Thank You's

I was in need of a simple thank you card to send along with the photographs people have purchased from my shop.  I was determined to create them with things I already had and came up with the idea of using library cards.
I simply printed my message directly onto the library cards from my computer.
I also wanted to package it nicely so I choose stickers and glassine bags to accomplish that.
and now I have nicely packaged thank you library cards!
All my material I got from here.

Shop Swap

I  recently had the opportunity to participate in a shop swap conducted by oh, hello friend.  I was matched up with Justin Miller from the Bound Staff Press and he sent me two amazing prints.

Dog Days: An Island Hike

We took a hike to an island owned by Connecticut College on the Thames River.  We had to cross a  wetland and walk past giant walls of rock to get to the water on the Thames.  We were directly across from the submarine base so we were able to see all in port.
We have already made plans to come back in the summer.

You can see more Dog Days here, and here.

Happy Presidents' Day!
